About Us

Sunrise Partners is a strategic investment management platform that connects Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) capital with high-impact opportunities in Lusophone Africa, specifically Angola and Mozambique. We specialize in identifying and managing investments in critical sectors aligned with GCC national priorities, such as energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and strategic minerals.

While we may co-invest our own capital, our primary role is to provide comprehensive investment management services. This includes sourcing opportunities, conducting due diligence, structuring deals, and overseeing & reporting on investments on behalf of our GCC-based clients. Our approach ensures that our clients can take significant minority or majority stakes in ventures that offer both strong financial returns and strategic value.

By leveraging our on-the-ground presence and deep understanding of the local markets, we facilitate investments that contribute to economic development in Lusophone Africa and support the strategic interests of our GCC partners.

About Us

Strategic Investments

We pursue controlling and significant minority stakes in critical industries that align with GCC national priorities.

01

Energy & Natural Resources

Angola and Mozambique represent vital upstream and midstream oil and gas opportunities. Our investments include oil block partnerships, LNG offtake structuring, and infrastructure development essential to energy diplomacy.

02

Agriculture & Food Security

Mozambique's arable land and Angola's diversified climate allow for scalable investments in commercial farming, aquaculture, and agri-processing. These support long-term GCC food supply chains and sovereign security.

03

Infrastructure & Logistics

From deepwater ports and rail corridors to inland terminals and bonded warehouses, Sunrise identifies infrastructure plays that improve access, trade flows, and economic integration—directly benefiting GCC export-import logistics.

04

Mining & Strategic Minerals

Mozambique’s heavy sands and Angola’s diamond and rare earth deposits present opportunities for GCC countries to secure industrial inputs. These materials are vital for advanced manufacturing, electronics, and energy transition strategies.

Driving Regional Prosperity

We don’t believe in passive capital. Our model is one of engagement—one where investment is a tool for development. We drive job creation, infrastructure buildout, and institutional capacity-building in host markets. For GCC investors, this delivers both tangible returns and soft power.

Creating Strategic Influence

Investments through Sunrise Partners bolster the GCC’s strategic posture in Africa, particularly in sub-Saharan and coastal corridors. These investments complement Gulf development finance initiatives, position the GCC as a reliable partner in African growth, and extend influence into resource-rich, diplomatically significant geographies.

Saudi Arabia as a Model

Saudi Vision 2030 has led the way in formalizing strategic investment as a core pillar of foreign policy. Through its Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Arabia has shown how sovereign capital can reshape industrial policy and strengthen global presence. Sunrise Partners allows other GCC states and institutions to deploy capital with similar ambition and capability.
